All of the 1996 equestrian events were held at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia, 50 km (30 miles) east of Atlanta. This facility was built in 1991, and since the 1996 Olympics the area around it became very built up and the park was later used mostly for conferences and concerts.
Team and individual jumping events were held at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. They were conducted as separate events, with the team event held over two days and the individual event over three days, but it started before the team event and then finished after it. Ulrich Kirchhoff won the individual gold medal and led Germany to the team title.
