Max Decugis had won the French mixed title in 1904-06, but never playing with his wife, Marie. In 1904 he was partnered by Mlle. Katie Gillou and in 1905-06, by Mlle. Y. de Pfoeffel. The Decugis’s won two French mixed titles - the covered court titles in 1910-11.
No match for second- or third-place took place in this event. The jury decided to award the silver medals to Simiriotis/Marinou and the bronze medals to X. Kasdaglis/Matsa, although it is not exactly clear why this was done.
