Reliability Contest, Touring Cars, Six-seater, Men

There were 16 different automobile contests at the 1900 Paris Exposition. This event was for heavier six-seated touring cars. It took place over five days with 150 km covered and 34.35 km on the track at Lac Daumesnil each day. The names of the prize winners were often the names of the car manufacturer for the automobile reliability contests. Five vehicles took part in this event, with the winning car from the Panhard & Levassor factory. This factory had grown from the coach building family business of the Panhard family in 1876. René Panhard was joined by Émile Levassor, who had won the 1895 Paris-Bordeaux-Paris race.
