Biography

Courtney Kennedy played college hockey at Colby College in Maine, but later transferred and finished her career at the University of Minnesota. In 2001 she was first-team All-American, Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Player of the Year, and a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, given to the top player in women’s college hockey. She briefly played professionally with the Vancouver Griffins. She was the girls’ head coach at Buckingham Brown & Nichols School in Cambridge, Massachusetts but has since moved to Boston College, where she is the assistant coach under head coach, Katie King, another US hockey Olympian.
