Biography

Bent-Ove Pedersen was a Norwegian tennis player who played professionally from 1992 to 1994. Pedersen achieved a career-best singles ranking of #366 in the world in September 1993, and a doubles ranking of #78 in the world in August 1993. He played on Norway’s Davis Cup team from 1987 to 1999.

At Grand Slams Pedersen’s best performance came in the doubles at the 1991 US Open when he and Matt Lucena of the United States reached the quarter-finals. Pedersen only won one ATP doubles title during his career when he and Sweden’s Anders Järryd were victorious in Bolzano, Italy, in October 1992. At the 1992 Barcelona Olympics Pedersen partnered Christian Ruud in the doubles but lost in the first round to the eventual silver medallists Wayne Ferreira and Pietie Norval of South Africa.
