Victoria Max-Theurer

Austrian dressage rider Victoria, daughter of Sissy Max-Theurer, competed in five Olympic Games from Athens 2004 to Paris 2024, but was unable to win a medal. Her best Olympic results were eighth place with the Austrian team in 2004 and 2024. At Tokyo 2021 she withdrew her horse from the competition shortly before it began due to toothache. As a result, the Austrian team only had two participants and failed to qualify for the final.

Max-Theurer won the Austrian National Championship 13 times in a row from 2003-15. At European Youth Championships she won two silver medals (2002, at both individual and team) and six bronze medals (1999-2001, again both individual and team). She lived in the family-owned Achleiten Castle and worked part-time in her grandfather’s company.
