Biography

Adolf Wróbel was the youngest of three brothers, all of whom played ice hockey for Poland at the Olympics. After World War II Wróbel had a lengthy domestic career, playing for multiple teams in the Polish league. His first success came with Legia Warsaw, winning four consecutive titles from 1954 to 1957, before winning four titles with Górnik (1958, 1960, 1962, 1965). He played in 22 matches for the Polish national team including the 1955 World Championships and the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics.
