Antoni Wróbel was the oldest of three brothers all of which played ice hockey for Poland at the Olympics. During the 1950s Wróbel played for Naprzód Janów, with the team finishing as the league’s runners-up on four occasions. Between 1950 and 1952 he also played in a dozen matches for the national team, including six games at the 1952 Oslo Olympics.
