Charouck Arirachakarran spent his life promoting sport in Thailand where he held several high-profile roles in various organisations. During his career Arirachakarran was the secretary general of the Athletics Association of Thailand for 12 years, in addition to holding the same role at the Football Association of Thailand for four years, where he also served as the organisation’s treasurer. In 1983 he was elected as the President of the Takraw Sports Association of Thailand, serving in the post until his death in August 2023. Arirachakarran worked extensively with the Olympic Committee of Thailand, which saw him being awarded with the Olympic Order in Silver in 1999.
