Nicole Struse was a table tennis player who represented Germany at four consecutive Olympic Games from 1992-2004. Unfortunately, she never won a medal. She was more successful at European Championships, however, winning team gold and doubles gold, with Elke Schall-Wosik, in 1996 and 1998. In 1996, she also won the women’s singles European title. Struse added three more team silvers (1994, 2000, and 2002), and also three bronze medals (singles in 1994 and 1998, doubles in 2000).
Nationally, Struse won nine singles, six double and two mixed doubles titles. She won 205 international caps with Germany. In 1995, she was ranked #1 in the European ranking list, and in 1997 won a team bronze at the World Championships.
