Biography

In 1925 Lithuanian cyclist Tadas Murnikas finished second in the 70 km team event before becoming the national title in the discipline a year later. Also in 1926 Murnikas won bronze in the all-round event at the national track championships. Two years later he finished as the runner-up in the 160 km national road race to earn himself a place on the Olympic team. At the Amsterdam Games he finished 50th in the individual road race, almost one hour behind the race winner.
