Biography

Argentine field hockey player Miguel Altube represented AC Quilmes for 36 seasons, winning the Metropolitano league competition in Buenos Aires in 1980. Altube also had a lengthy career with the national hockey team that spanned from the late 1970s until the early 1990s. In 1979 he was part of the squad that won gold at the Pan American Games after beating Canada 3–0 in the final. He had further success at the Pan American Games with silver in 1983 and 1987. In 1988 Altube represented Argentina at the Seoul Olympics, with the team finishing eighth. Following his playing career he became a coach at Quilmes before later working with the youth national team.
