Edward Gould was a member of the Glen Echo Country Club, site of the 1904 Olympic golf tournament. Gould did not make the match play at the 1904 St. Louis tournament, finishing 71st in qualifying. He lived in St. Louis for much of life, but later moved to California, Connecticut, and finally Miami. In the latter city, he founded the Indian Creek Country Club, which included a golf course, and served as Vice President of the local Bath Club.
