Spanish field hockey player José Alustiza represented several clubs during his career including Real Sociedad, Atlético de San Sebastián, and Barcelona CF. Alustiza was also a regular in the national team, earning 32 caps. In 1972 he was part of the squad that competed in the hockey tournament at the München Olympics. He played in four matches, scoring the opening goal in their 2–1 win against Malayasia in the classification round. Alustiza was only 43-years-old when he died in 1990.
