Biography

Tauno Timoska was an international player for Finland in both field hockey and bandy. In the former, two of his three caps came at the 1952 Helsinki Games, where his country was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the consolation round after losing their round one match. He was more successful domestically, winning nine national championships between 1953 and 1969 with Nuijamiehet. In bandy, he made 32 international appearances, including at the 1961 World Championships, where he took home a bronze medal. Domestically he played for Käpylän Urheilu-Veikot in this sport, winning the national championship in 1958 and 1959, being runner-up in 1956 and 1961, and coming in third in 1957, 1960, and 1962.
