Walter Stude played hockey (field) for the United States at the 1948, 1952, and 1956 Olympics. He was a longtime member of the Mount Washington Lacrosse Club. Stude was born in Kingston, Ontario but moved to Catonsville, Maryland with his family as a child. He graduated from Catonsville High School and the University of Houston. Stude served in the US Navy during World War II.
