Christiane Weber was a West German foil fencer who won two Olympic team gold medals, in 1984 and 1988. Individually, she finished 19th in 1984. At the World Championships, she won team silver in 1983, and three team bronze medals in 1982, 1986 and 1995.
Weber was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. She married modern pentathlete Achim Bellmann and raised two children, one of them also becoming a nationally successful fencer. The couple later divorced. Weber became a specialist in surgery at a clinic at Langenfeld.
