Biography

Anne Drungis attended Hunter College, graduating in 1953. She won the National Intercollegiate Women’s Fencing Association (NIWFA) foil title in 1953. Drungis later won a team gold medal at the 1963 Pan American Games. She represented Salle Santelli and with them won Amateur Fencers League of America (AFLA) team foil titles in 1961 and 1965. At the time of the 1964 Olympics, Drungis worked as a chemist at the Squibb Institute for Medical Research.
