Claude Brodin won a French junior title in 1955 and added a senior championship in 1960. He competed at the 1960 and 1964 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in team épée at Tokyo in 1964. Brodin was awarded a medal for Youth Sports in 1997. He practiced fencing until he turned 65-years-old. In his later years he was stricken with Alzheimer’s Disease.
