Biography

Herman Dooijewaard attended the military academy and became first lieutenant in the fourth regiment of the Dutch field artillery. He died as a result of an accident while serving at Oldenbroek Air Base at the age of 27. He was selected for the Dutch fencing team at the 1912 Olympic Games but did not start.
