Iva Majoli was a Croatian tennis player who played professionally from 1991 to 2004. Majoli was the world #4 in the singles in February 1996 and won the French Open the following year. As a doubles player she achieved a career-best ranking of #24 in the world in August 1995. She earned more than $4.4 million in prize money during her career.
Majoli won two ITF singles finals in 1992 in Augusta and Evansville in the United States. Her first WTA singles victory came at the 1995 Zurich Open where she beat Mary Pierce in straight sets. She won a further seven WTA singles titles during her career and a doubles title in 2001 with partner Virginie Razzano. Majoli’s biggest win of her career came at the 1997 French Open with a straight sets victory against Martina Hingis.
Majoli competed in the singles and doubles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Olympics. In Atlanta she reached the singles quarter-finals before losing to eventual gold medallist Lindsay Davenport. In the doubles she was partnered with Maja Murić with the pair reaching the second round. At the Sydney Games she did not advance past the first round in either the singles or doubles
