Eduard Vinokurov won all his international honors in team events. He was Olympic champion in 1968 and 1976 and won silver in 1972. Vinokurov was the World champion in the team event in 1967, 1969-1971, 1974 and 1975 and won silvers in 1966 and 1973. Vinokurov also won the European Cup in the team event five times in a row from 1967-71. Domestically, Vinokurov won one individual Soviet title in 1966, three silvers (1969, 1972, 1973) and three bronzes (1968, 1970, 1976). He also won the Soviet Cup three times (1965, 1967, 1972). After his competitive career, Vinokurov worked as a fencing coach in St. Petersburg.
