Alfred Skrobisch fenced épée for the US at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Born in London, Skrobich later attended Columbia University, graduating in 1930. He represented the Fencers Club of New York. Skrobisch is known for having developed, along with Hugh Alessandroni and George Baker, the first electronic scoring machine approved for use at the Olympics, in 1936.
