Ali Riadh began his senior career with Zamalek in 1920 and remained with them through 1923, winning the Sultan Hussein Cup in 1921 and 1922, the Egypt Cup in 1922, and the Cairo League (predecessor to the Egyptian Premier League) in 1923. He then moved to El-Sekka El-Haddid and had an excellent year in 1924, winning the Sultan Hussein Cup and representing Egypt at the 1924 Paris Olympics, where the nation was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Four years later he repeated this feat, winning the Sultan Hussein Cup with Tersana and taking part in the 1928 Amsterdam Games, where Egypt lost the bronze medal match. From 1930 to 1933 he was studying aeronautical engineering abroad, but then returned to Egypt for two final seasons of football. Thereafter, he had a career with the Egyptian Air Force, and also established the Aviation Club football team in 1965.
