Biography

A goalie, David Brcic played one year of college soccer (football) at St. Louis University. In 1977 he left school to play for the New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League (NASL). He played one year with the Cosmos and then joined Greenock Morton, before returning to the Cosmos through the 1984 season. Brcic also played with the US national team in 1979, and would eventually earn four caps with them through 1985.

Brcic played in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), beginning in 1981 with the Cosmos indoor team. He played in MISL for nine years, retiring after the 1989/90 season, playing over those years with the Wichita Wings, Pittsburgh Spirit, Los Angeles Lazers, Kansas City Comets, and the St. Louis Storm.

After his playing days, Brcic returned to school, graduating from Maryville College in 1996. He and his family settled in St. Louis where he runs soccer camps and is President of Soccer Master.
