Tom Cooke played against Galt and started the first game against CBC. But in that game he broke his leg, had to be taken from the field, and could play no more. Cooke was a St. Louis native. In 1910 he married Elsa Beamer and they moved to Denver the next year. There he worked for 40 years for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad as assistant comptroller. After retirement he worked in the trust department of the First National Bank until 1961.
