Friedrich Fetz was an Austrian artistic gymnast, who participated in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He finished 11th with the team in the all-around event, and 168th individually. Domestically, he represented TS Dornbirn.
Fetz studied mathematics, physics, and sports and became a schoolteacher. He was then promoted and became professor for physical exercises at the University of Innsbruck. In 1964 Fetz moved to Germany to the University of Frankfurt am Main. Four years later he returned to Innsbruck to became dean of the Faculty of Humanity.
