Biography

At the 1948 London Olympics, Austrian gymnast Ernst Wister finished ninth with the team and 28th individually in the all-around events as the best Austrian. Four years later at Helsinki, he placed 11th with the team and 61st individually. Wister also won the Austrian national title that year. Domestically, he represented Union Graz.
