Biography

Reino Heino was a Finnish gymnast who was active during the 1960s. Heino won his first medal at the national championships in 1965 with a bronze in the all-round event. Three years later he became the Finnish champion in both the vault and pommelled horse, before winning another title in the latter in 1969. In 1967 Heino won gold in the team all-round competition at the Nordic Championships, helping to secure him a place on the Olympic team. At the 1968 Mexico City Games he finished 67th overall in the individual all-round and 10th in the team competition.
