Biography

West German gymnast Hans Pfann participated at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He finished fourth in the all-around team event and finished 33rd in the all-around individual competition. At Melbourne four years later he finished fifth with the team and 29th in the individual all-around. He married Lydia Zeitlhofer directly after the Helsinki Games. In November 2018 he became the oldest living German Olympian and in September 2020 celebrated his 100th birthday.
