Biography

Jean-Baptiste Horn represented the Société de Gymnastique in Bonnevoie, now a suburb of the city of Luxembourg. He placed seventh at the first national trials in January 1912. After the final trials in June, he was one of 16 gymnasts selected for the Olympics. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm, the team from Luxembourg, including Horn, placed fifth and last in the team event of the free system but missed bronze by less than one point in the team event of the European system. In 1913, he competed at the World Gymnastics Championships in Paris. Twelve years after his first Olympic appearance, he was again selected for the gymnastics team of Luxembourg at the 1924 Olympics in Paris. He did not start and was probably a reserve for the team.

Horn was married to Anne Grignard and worked as a locksmith for the state railway (C.F.L.).
