Format	Eight-person teams. All eight scores counted on the five apparatuses. Team points were also awarded for overall impression and marching into and out of the stadium.

Italy easily won the team all-around, as they had in 1912 and 1920, and would also win in 1932. Nine nations competed in the team event, with France winning silver, after a bronze in 1920, and Switzerland bronze. However, in 1928, the Swiss would interrupt the Italian streak by winning the gold medal in Amsterdam.
