Jean Tschabold competed for Switzerland at the 1952 Olympics in gymnastics, helping them to a team silver medal. At the World Championships he also won two team medals, with a gold in 1950 at Basel and a bronze in 1954 at Rome. Tschabold later became a coach, earning a federal master certificate of fitness in 1955 and he taught at Lausanne-Bourgeoise. Tschabold also was a sports broadcaster for Swiss television on gymnastics competitions.
