Biography
Philip Kassel was born in Germany but emigrated to the United States, living near Philadelphia. He competed in the three individual all-around turnverein events at the 1904 Olympics, with a best finish of sixth in field sports. Kassel competed for the Philadelphia Turngemeinde, winning gold in the 1904 team event.
