Julian Schmitz represented the New York Turnverein at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. Schmitz competed in the three individual all-around turnverein events, and helped the New York Turnverein win a silver medal in the team event. He worked for many years as an embosser with a printing company, the Hollis Press.
