Biography

Rod Oshita attended college at UC Irvine, graduating in 1982 with a degree in pre-law. He played water polo in college and competed at the 1978 National Sports Festival in water polo. Oshita was on the US national handball team from 1982-88. He competed at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics, won a gold medal at the 1987 Pan American Games, won silver at the 1986 Goodwill Games, and played for the US team at the 1986 World Championships.

Oshita later worked in real estate in Southern California. He worked for Fairway Commercial Partners beginning in 2000, and also became director of investments with American Dream Fund. He has also been a faculty member for the NAIOP, the commercial real estate development association.
