Trinido Vaqueriza first reached the podium at the Spanish national rowing championships in 1951, when he was runner-up in the eights. He was runner-up in the coxed fours and the eights in 1952, but the following year the national championships were not held. When they returned in 1954, however, he began a title-winning streak and captured the eights in 1954-1957, 1960, and 1962, and the coxed fours in 1956, 1957, and 1959. He was also runner-up in the eights in 1958. Internationally, Vaqueriza represented Spain at the Mediterranean Games in 1955, the European Championships in 1957 and 1959, and the Olympics in Rome in 1960. In the latter, he was a member of the eights squad that was eliminated in the round one repêchage.
