Biography
German rower Katrin was the daughter of her first coach Günter Petersmann, and the sister of Cerstin Petersmann. Together with Cerstin, she was a member of the West German coxed eights at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, finishing seventh as the only crew not reaching the final. The previous year, the sisters belonged to the crew finishing seventh at the World Championships. Katrin won German national titles in 1988 (with the coxed fours) and 1986 (quadruple sculls).
