Anatoly Sass was a Russian rower who represented the Soviet Union in international competitions, winning the silver medal in the single sculls at the 1965 European Rowing Championships in Duisburg, West Germany. A two-time Olympian, Sass competed at his first Games in 1964 in Tokyo, finishing in seventh place in the coxless fours. Four years later he won gold at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics in the double sculls with compatriot Aleksandr Timoshinin. Sass also won two national titles, the first in the singles sculls in 1967, followed by the double sculls title a year later.
