One does not need to be a rocket scientist to row, but Mimi Kellogg was. She graduated from Princeton in 1976 with a degree in aeronautical engineering and then obtained a masters’ degree from MIT in 1978 in aerospace engineering. Kellogg was a coxswain. Her husband, Phil Lyman, also rowed at Princeton and became a rowing coach with Annapolis Junior Rowing.
