Tom Curran rowed for the US at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He rowed for the Penn Athletic Club in the same eight that had won the 1930 European Championships. Curran served in the US Navy in 1945-46 in World War II. He later became head crew coach at Temple University. Curran is a member of the National Rowing Hall of Fame, inducted along with the entire eight that won the 1930 Europeans.
