Graduating in the Olympic year of 1936, Bob Moch coxed the University of Washington eight to the Olympic gold medal at Berlin. Moch was also calling cadence when the Huskies won the IRA Regatta that same year. After college he went to Harvard Law School and later practiced as an attorney. He also coached crew briefly from 1936 to 1939 as an assistant at Washington and as the head coach at MIT from 1939 until 1944.
