Allan Morgan was the coxswain of the 1948 Washington four which took the gold medal at London. Morgan served in the US Navy during World War II, seeing action in the South Pacific. After the war ended, he enrolled at the University of Washington, graduating in 1950. Morgan was inducted into the University of Washington Hall of Fame in 1981 and again in 2003.
