Biography

Thomas Murray was a Junior World Champion in the eight in 1987 and won the 1995 Pan American Games gold medal in the coxed four. He also won two medals at the Pan Ams, a gold in the eight in 1999 and a silver in the coxed pair in 1995. In addition to his 1996 Olympic appearance, Murray rowed at five World Championships (1991, 1993-95, 1999), winning a bronze medal in 1993 in the eight.

Murray rowed at Cornell where he would eventually become a member of the Cornell Hall of Fame in 2003. He later obtained a masters’ degree in finance from Boston College, and executive coaching certification from Middlesex University in England. Murray worked in the corporate world, mostly in banking, before starting his own executive coaching firm.
