Jeff Pfaendtner was a lightweight rower who won a bronze medal in the four at the 1996 Olympic Games. Pfaendtner won a silver medal in the lightweight eight at the 1988 World Championships, and in the lightweight quad sculls at the 1995 Pan American Games. He also competed at the Worlds in 1990-92 and 1994-95.
Pfaendtner rowed in college at the University of Pennsylvania. He later obtained a PhD in material sciences engineering from Penn. Pfaendtner became an engineer, specializing in materials and metallurgic engineering. He started with GE Aviation from 1997-2007, then was with Crane Engineering (2007-14) and Veracis Engineering (2014-16). In 2016 he left Veracis to form his own firm, Keith Pfaendtner Engineering in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area.
