Steven Segaloff was a coxswain in the eight for the United States at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He also coxed at the 1993-95 World Championships, winning a gold medal in the eight in 1994 and bronze medals in 1993 and 1995. Segaloff coxed two US crews to gold medals at the 1995 Pan American Games, in the four and the eight.
Segaloff attended Cornell University where he was on the crew team. He later attended the University of Chicago Law School, graduating with a JD degree in 2000. He was an associate with Cravath, Swaine & Moore from 2000-04, and then joined National Financial Partners as a vice-president and general counsel. From 2006-13 Segaloff was Deputy General Counsel at Plainfield Asset Management, and then was General Counsel at Genesys Global from 2013-17. In November 2017, Segaloff formed his own firm, Bellnote Partners LLC, along with co-founder Carl Sheldon.
