Raymond Wright attended Princeton, graduating in 1969. He came from an old Princeton family, as his grandfather, also Raymond Wright, had graduated from the school in 1902. Wright was national high school rowing champion in coxed fours in 1965, while at Lakeside High School in Seattle. After college he returned home and lived in the Seattle area.
