Biography

Edward Amoore, a member of Southfields Rifle Club, competed in four small-bore events at the 1908 Olympics and won medals in two of them. He had the worse score for the winning British foursome in the team event but the individual competition with a disappearing target was one of eight marksmen to score a maximum of 45 points and took the bronze medal on the count-back. Amoore also placed fifth in the individual small-bore event but the competition with a moving target he only scored only three out of a possible 45 points, and not surprisingly, finished in last place.
