FormatProne position. 50 yards and 100 yards. Four-man teams. 20 shots at each distance per shooter; 80 shots at each distance per team.

Only three teams entered so all the shooters became medalists. Great Britain won the event with 771 points, leading Sweden by 34 points, with France placing third, and last, with 710 points. This is the only time the event has ever been on the Olympic Program.
