Ute Wetzig was a German diver who participated in three consecutive Olympic Games from 1992-2000. She failed to reach she platform finals in 1992 and placed 12th both in 1996 and 2000. She was far more successful in European Championships, winning four gold, three silver, and one bronze medal between 1989 and 2000. In the synchronized platform event she was a long-time partner of Anke Piper. Wetzig later worked at the general regional health insurance at her hometown, Leipzig.
